Just a quick note to say that I will be headlining Bournemouth Folk Club on the 15th March.

It’s held at Centre Stage in Westbourne next to the Pig and Whistle Pub.

Support from The Frequency doing a special acoustic show.
Also Fran Milner has said she’ll do a few songs.

For those of you who have never been to the Folk Club before, it’s an amazing, unique venue for musician’s to come and perform without having to play over people talking, like in pubs and restaurants. If you are coming along, the organisers at the Folk Club would appreciate it if you could respect the artists by not talking over their performance.

Just wanted to say a few words about the ‘Live at BU’ films that we put up on YouTube last week.

The film was shot in November over 2 days using the amazing facilities at Bournemouth Uni. They have a professional film studio down there and a bunch of really talented students and professors who all helped make this happen.

We were very lucky to have the band play on the songs, who all have immense experience and expertise working in the music industry. So a big thank you to all of them, who all made a huge effort to be there and make it sound great.

Just thought i’d give this guy a quick mention as most of the photos on the website are taken by him. Awesome young photography student from Bournemouth, studying at Bournemouth Arts Institute. He’s got some serious talent so check him out!

He’s done a few shoots for me, and the main background shot on the website is his, as well as the main foreground shot.

Oh and how do you like the music?

Everybody is extremely excited about this project and filming is due to take place on Thursday and Friday this week. Charlie will be performing with a live band of professional musicians including Jim Cregan and Gary Grainger (Rod Stewart), as well as other accomplished musicians.

We hope to have the finished project up on the website for you as soon as possible so keep checking back.
